Traffic Diversion Implemented while Senen Extension Underpass Undergoes Trial Stage

It is done to support open traffic trials of the Senen Extension Underpass

The Jakarta Transportation Agency will divert traffic at the Senen Intersection in connection with the second phase of the Senen Extension Underpass trial.

According to Syafrin Liputo, Agency Head of Jakarta Transportation, it would take place from December 2 to 9.

"It is done to support open traffic trials of the Senen Extension Underpass," he expressed, Wednesday (12/2).

Here is the following the traffic engineering at the Senen Intersection:

- Traffic from Tugu Tani/Kwitang (from west) towards Cempaka Putih/Pulogadung (to east) and Salemba (to south) can be passed by public transport or private vehicles

- Traffic from Cempaja Putih (from east) towards Tugu Tani/Kwitang (to west) can only be passed by Transjakarta bus

- Traffic from Cempaka Putih or from east cannot make a U-turn at the Senen Intersection

- Traffic from Salemba (to south) towards Lapangan Banteng or Atrium Senen (to north) and Cempaka Putih (to east) can be passed by public transport and private vehicles.

- Traffic from Atrium Senen (to north) towards Salemba (to south) can only be passed by Transjakarta bus

- Traffic from Senen Station towards Cempaka Putih will be rerouted to make U-turn at Jalan Pasar Senen to Jalan Bungur Besar Raya and Cempaka Putih

- Traffic from Senen Station towards Salemba will be rerouted to Jalan Letjen Suprapto to make U-turn at the Senen Intersection and then turn left to the intersection

- Traffic at Senen Extension Underpass from Cempaka Putih towards Lapangan Banteng or Ancol, as well as Tugu Tani or Gambir can only be passed by small- and medium-sized vehicles

- Traffic from Salemba or Kampung Melayu towards Senen or vice versa can use the Senen Flyover

"So I call on road users to avoid the roads and follow the traffic diversion," he stated.
